While searching for videos to share this week, I came across this one by Faith Hill (EveryFriendRocks -YouTube Channel). Relevant not just at Christmas but all year long.
If you've not realized by now, Kelly's Country is more than just 'country' music. I love most types of music. My favorite movies have always been Hollywood musicals. I love the orchestra notes that carry you to a different world. Classics like this one from Frank Sinatra:
Country Christmas Blessings from my home to yours!
The folks I network with every day, spend so much time on the road to bring their talent to each of us at venues across the country. I know they want to be home with their loved ones on Christmas. Today, I'm sharing I'll Be Home For Christmas - by The Oak Ridge Boys.
While driving to Poplar Bluff yesterday to deliver cookies to my support team at Office Depot, I scanned the radio channels looking for Christmas music. I stopped at one of my usual spots on the dial when driving this direction - 97.5 The Storm when I heard the beginning strains of a song I have not heard in years. A song of hope by Skip Ewing. The video is from the YouTube channel of Ekarmet
I love Christmas. Aside from some of the yummy treats I only enjoy during this time of year, I love the blessings of family and friends. Being together with those we love and feeling the blessings warms my heart. If these things are tops on your Holiday list, then you will love Christmas Time - the new holiday album by Rhonda Vincent - and friends. Lots of friends!
Rhonda, along with Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, The Oak Ridge Boys, Ronnie Milsap, Gene Watson, Bill Anderson, Larry Gatlin, Jeannie Seely, Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis and EmiShine come together in a beautiful collection of both traditional and uplifting Christmas carols - including four written by Rhonda.
Rhonda talks about her Christmas Time CD on her YouTube channel:
While we think of Rhonda as a bluegrass artist, she is a consummate professional, blurring the boundaries of bluegrass, country and traditional into a beautiful ombre of color and love.
Whether you want something to trim your tree by or sing along to, Christmas Time is the perfect new addition to your holiday music collection.
Rhonda loves to hear from her fans. Stop by her FB or Twitter pages to wish her a Merry Christmas!
I am kicking off my Christmas music season with a guy who has been a favorite of mine for years. T. Graham Brown is one of the most congenial, talented, respected artists in the business. His passion comes through on his Christmas album - Christmas with T. Graham Brown.
The album has a beautiful selection of traditional favorites. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Here Comes Santa Claus, I'll Be Home For Christmas, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Silver Bells, Run Run Rudolph, Jingle Bell Rock, White Christmas and Away In A Mangerall put us in the seasonal spirit.
Two signature tracks on this album show us the fun side of T. Graham Brown as well as his spiritual depth. Santa Claus is Coming In A UFO (written by T, his wife Sheila and their son Acme) is that fun song you can't help but sing along to. But the best new piece on this album, and sure to become a classic, is Mary Had A Little Lamb (written with Sheila and Jimmy Fortune. This inspirational twist on a nursery rhyme title ranks with caroles we have sang for generations such as Angels We Have Heard On High and What Child Is This. Where the traditional songs put us in the Christmas Spirit, Mary Had A Little Lamb will put the Christmas Spirit in your heart.
Christmas with T. Graham Brown is a must have in any Christmas music collection.
