DIAMOND IN A RHINESTONE WORLD is Breelan Angel's Sophomore album. True to who she is as an artist, Breelan has not strayed far from her debut album, Dirty Little Secrets. Her signature sound still carries that bit of sass we have come to know and love from Breelan.
Rhinestone World recalls a comment Breelan made during my interview with her last year. I asked her about her strategy for staying true to herself as an artist. She replied:
The only way I’m going to enjoy what I do is if I’m performing songs that I believe in and love. If I’m not happy with the material because it’s not who I am, then I’m not giving my audience what they deserve and that’s essential when connecting with your fans.

The only deviation from her debut album is that Breelan has co-written only five of the seven songs (as opposed to all the tracks on her first album). The one continuity in true country, especially out of Texas, is the tune should pull you onto a dance floor. While the lyrics tell a story, the music encourages you to find your favorite guy or gal and lose yourself in the magical world created by the artists. Every track on this CD is a perfect example of Breelan's firm grasp on her style.
The fun side of Breelan comes through loud and clear on Rub A Little Dirt On It. The rest of the tracks, from Dancin' With the Devil, which she co-wrote with fellow Texas artist Bri Bagwell to Nothin' Cuts Like A Diamond and every track in between is a cozy-up feel-good chain of events you will not want to miss.
DIAMOND IN A RHINESTONE WORLD releases on October 2. Until then, I'll leave you with the YouTube of Rub A Little Dirt On It.
