UNDER CONSTRUCTION

As you can see from the picture, my living room is a disaster. My dining room looks the same way – like someone just unloaded a large U-Haul.

When we moved me into the studio four years ago, nothing went as planned. Bob was anxious to turn my old office into his man cave. That meant nothing got put away in the studio the way I wanted… more dumped wherever it would fit.

Since then I’ve also added more things – mostly planner and Mixed Media items – that I’ve had to find room for. Instead, those items just got added to the already disorganized mess.

I apologize for not getting the Throwback Thursday posts up as I'd hoped.
I’ve been trying since January to get my office/ studio in order – all while trying to carry on with my daily work routine, write a book and keep the house presentable. I finally came to the conclusion that plan of attack wasn’t working.

First off, I have OCD. I can’t work on something unless everything is in order. Just makes my life more complicated.

Last week, after writing all my blog posts for the week, I emptied the studio into those two rooms. I’ve worked all weekend with the cleaning part. Washing windows, shampooing carpet, detailing furniture… you know what a deep clean entails.

This week I HAVE to get stuff back in place so that office work can resume as usual. Bob comes home on Wednesday. He’d really like to be able to sit at the dining room table in the morning with coffee or sit in his recliner in the evening to watch TV. To add insult to injury, his best friend is planning a visit for the coming weekend. Kevin helped us move in thirteen years ago. He hasn’t seen the house with the addition of my studio. So yeah…. This room HAS TO GET DONE.

With that, I’m taking this week off of all of my blogs, no book writing and only the 1 crafting deadline I have for Wednesday.

Blog post should resume next week – Monday May 4th or Tuesday May 5th. If Kevin shows up, I’ll have all weekend to hide in the studio and get ahead of the week. Otherwise, that’s what I’ll be doing on Monday. I always devote Bob’s first weekend home to him. He’s been gone for twenty-one days, after all.

Thank you for your patience and I’ll see you next week!

THE PARTY LIST - On Hiatus

Good morning, everyone!

I do apologize for not having a Party List today. I had planned to get them up and running for the month, but a sinus infection has really slowed my progress. I'm struggling with daily house stuff and getting the garden prepped before rain moved in. Today, I am just totally exhausted. Sadly, the bushel of apples sitting in my kitchen are not going to wait any longer.

While I should have a couple of music posts coming up as well as Christmas CD profiles towards the end of the month, I am pulling most of the posts for the remainder of this year, through January 2019.

I have to get Book 2 written in my Planned to Perfection series this month. I have NanoWrimo to motivate me to complete that project, along from the fact I intend to release this book mid May 2019.

Basically, health and the paying gig have to come first.

I take December off to enjoy the holidays. December is my month to break down the current year and set up for the coming year. I watch Hallmark movies, Christmas specials and bake enough cookies/ goodies for about 100 treat boxes.

Most entertainers are also down for January, unless they are in Colorado for the Steamboat Music Fest.

Peek back over the next few weeks and watch for promo tweets for new postings and look forward to a much more productive blog in 2019.

Country Blessings!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Since there are not a lot of shows, many of my Texas folks are headed for Steamboat, I'll be on hiatus until The first Party List run on February 1st.

HIATUS UPDATE!

Thank you all for your patience while my arm heals. I'm still having some stress issues. I will be resuming the blog in full force on Monday June 20th.

The Party List will resume on Thursday June 23rd. However, I will only be doing links on days that my arm will allow. Overuse of the mouse really stresses the tendons/ nerves so once the pain starts to move in, I stop.

We have some great reviews coming up:

Libby Koch,
Asleep at the Wheel (Out of the Chute, CD Review, Concert Coverage)
Loretta Lynn
Brian Gowan

ON HIATUS

Hi everyone.

After serious contemplation and soul searching, I have come to the decision to put all of my blogs and social media attentioins on temporary hiatus. JUST for the month of MAY. I have some health issues I need to contend with as well as household/ family things.

I am hoping, with rest, the health issue will improve and I can come back in June stronger than ever.

I will be at The Starlight Theatre in Branson this Friday night to see the Larry's Country Diner show, featuring Mark Wills. If you're in the area, you do not want to miss this great show.  There are other great guests this week for Larry's Country Diner, including T. Graham Brown, Gene Watson, Mo & Holly Pitney and Mark Lowry. I hope to resurrect Out of the Chute in June as well as Turntable Tuessday. A lot of folks are releasing new music in the coming months so should be great!

I already have some posts scheduled for Concerts & Events. And if you are looking for somewhere to hear great music, please refer back to any of the previous Party Lists for links to artists and venues in your area.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I will see you soon.
Country Blessings

THE PART LIST - April 7 - 13 -1 week hiatus

NOTE!

There will be no party list this week. My husband is home for 5 more days before leaving for 28. There are not enough hours in those 5 days to accomplish all that I need his help with.

As I am not paid for what I do, I have to take priorities in order. Each day with my husband is a gift and I want to enjoy every minute he is here. After he leaves on the 12th for his 28 days on the boat, I will have uninterrupted time to blog, garden and get my office in order.

Thank you for understanding!

THE PARTY LIST - On Hiatus

Blame it on the heat or whatever.. I just have not been feeling well the past couple of weeks. Back to back travel last week really zapped my energy so I am taking this week off from The Party List. I just do not have the stamina for an 8 hour blog post followed by 3 hours of promos.

Bob is into his final week home before he goes back out on the boat. Most of you know that he is the #1 priority in my life and when he's home I slack on the work front to spend time with him. Time is precious. We will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this month - separately as he will be on the river and I will be home.

The unexpected death of Wade Stockton (The Scott Taylor Band fiddleplayer) two weeks ago, followed by the passing of multiple talents from Nashville in the past week bring that 'time is precious' thing into focus.

So I will spend these few days with Bob, try to recoup my energy and be back next week with CD reviews from AJ Guel and Mark Chapman Band as well as a new book review by Texas author W. C. Jameson.

Country Blessing!
