The 4th of July wouldn't be complete without songs from our favorite country artists. I thought I'd share a video my Toby Keith today and send best wishes and prayers for his complete recovery!
As I look ahead to the remainder of this month I know there will NOT be a Party List. I have three and a half weeks left with the grandgirls. Since Bob has gone back to work and won't be home til around the first of August, I'm all the girls have. No dividing time between the two of us so I can squeeze in work.
I'm anxious to get back to work but for now, Family First and all about my grandgirls.
Have a safe Holiday Weekend and remember why we celebrate our Independence... and may we some day have all of our freedom's back.
I love classic movies. One of my favorites is the George M. Cohen story. This video is featured in the movie from 1942. Pay particular attention to a comment made by the President at about 1:00.
There may not be a Party List this week. I'm having some physical issues preventing me from sitting for long periods of time. I'll do my best, but no promises.
In the mean time:
Have a safe Independence Day and remember what this day is supposed to be all about!
Closing out the weekend of videos with a song that has become a staple in our holiday weekend celebrations since Toby Keith first released the song in 2002. The song was written as both a tribute to his father and the 9/11 tragedy.
After yesterday's kickoff with a message, I thought we needed to lighten the mood a bit. The only thing better than Classic Country Music is a Classic Cartoon.
Beginning today, through Monday July 4th, I'll share a video celebrating our Independence.
Enjoy your weekend and remember what our forefathers fought for, what our current men and women go through every minute to insure we have the freedoms we have today. Enjoy your weekend.
I chose this video by up and coming Oklahoma artist Wesley Michael Hayes for the sentiment a lot of people are proclaiming these days. I am all for SENSIBLE gun use. And while I sympathize with those who have lost loved ones to gun violence, I also believe we would not be where we are today if our forefathers had not had firepower.
We live in a the land of Freedom of Choice and The Right to Bear Arms. Let us stand strong in our Independence... and get help for those who have mental issues. Mental Health is an illness that needs our understanding and our help.
