TURNTABLE TUESDAY- The Legacy Continues: Nathan Stanley

THE LEGACY CONTINUES
Nathan Stanley

THE LEGACY CONTINUES is an apt title for Nathan Stanley’s latest album. From the opening chords on the banjo of Are You Missing Me through the remaining fifteen tracks, the instrumentals combined with Nathan’s soulful tone recalls a time steeped in family values and tradition. Nathan Stanley knows about both of those, having grown up playing music with his grandfather, Dr. Ralph Stanley.

Originally released in May of 2013, this re-release includes two additional tracks with his grandfather. Dr.Ralph Stanley’s pride for his grandson resonates in their combined vocals on Rank Stranger and Where Could I Go But To The Lord. Nathan pays tribute to him in PaPaw I Love You. Brad Paisley lends his diverse talents to Will You Miss Me When I’m Gone. Every track flows like a mountain stream, the ebb and flow cleansing the listener with each note.

Destined to become one of the classic bluegrass albums of our time, THE LEGACY CONTINUES is proof that when we guide our children on the right path great things will come.

I tip my hat:
